Rachel Dara is a Canadian‑born, Canada/USA dual‑citizen singer‑songwriter based in Montreal, Quebec. A captivating chanteuse, storyteller, poetess and modern bard, Rachel is known for her ability to cross artistic boundaries while remaining rooted in an evocative Alternative Folk sound. Her signature strength lies in transforming lived experience and imagination into song, crafting narratives that resonate with emotional depth and lyrical intelligence.
Rachel recorded her debut album The Next Big Invention in Cape Breton with Grammy Award–winning producer Mark Howard, who praised her maturity and storytelling, noting her “feel and sound like Joni Mitchell.”
The album’s eight tracks explore love, abandonment, and coming of age with warmth and emotional depth. At nineteen, Rachel has already performed at major festivals across Quebec, including the West Island Blues Festival, Montreal Ribfest, and Montreal Fringe, as well as U.S. events such as the New York State Fair and Wally Lake Fest.
Her upcoming EP Old at Soul and Young at Heart, produced by Josh Goldman, precedes her next single, “In The Darkness,” releasing March 6, 2026.
